Q: Why do cats lick themselves? A: Cats lick themselves to clean their fur, this is called grooming. Grooming helps keep cats happy and healthy, because licking stimulates blood flow and helps get rid of excessive hair. Cats should groom at least once a day and if your cat fails to groom you may want to take he/she to the vet. By: ~Anonymous Jellybean~
Q: Why do dogs eat grass? A: Nobody really knows why dogs eat grass, one theory is that dog's ancestors ate many animals that were herbivores, so they also ate the plant matter that a rabbit or another rodent once dined on, and dogs develop a taste of grass. Another might be that dogs may eat grass because they are hungry and they like the taste. A third theory might be that dogs eat grass when they have an upset stomach, due to the fact that many dogs vomit after consuming grass. Dogs eating grass doesn't lead to any known illnesses in dogs, and it will remain a mystery. For more, click here. |
